SUMMARY:EHMA 2023: Health management: sustainable solutions for complex systems
DESCRIPTION:The European Health Management Association (EHMA) and ALTEMS – Advanced School of Health Economics and Management\, Catholic University of Sacred Heart\, will co-host the 28th edition of the EHMA Annual Conference on 5-7 June 2023 in Rome\, Italy under the headline ‘Health management: sustainable solutions for complex systems’. During the three-day programme of this event\, opportunities\, best practices and innovations for continuously evolving health systems will be addressed. Participants will be supported to propose innovative solutions for sustainable and resilient health systems and facilitate exchange and discussion on complex issues. \nJADECARE has been accepted for hosting a workshop at EHMA 2023 conference for presenting the results and impact of JADECARE that has targeted more than 4 million people at different levels: regionally\, European-wide and for future health policies; and explores the key elements to support the sustainability of good practice transfer beyond the projects.\nTwo implementing regions will showcase their particular results of the transfer and implementation of good practices. In addition\, the JADECARE Sustainability strategy will be exposed to the audience and its three core elements: policy environment\, ownership of sustainability and culture of collaboration and consensus seeking. Finally\, during the workshop discussion among attendees will be promoted about the crucial factors necessary to promote the continuity and scale-up of the outcomes of the transfer projects.\nLearning objectives:\n• Discover results and impact of the JADECARE Joint Action\n• Learn about implementation process to transfer and implement best practices in heterogeneous contexts\n• Discuss key elements to ensure the sustainability and scale up of practices beyond a Joint Action \nThe conference is structured around five tracks that reflect the practice of health management. The tracks are: \n\nGovernance\, leadership and social responsibility\nManagement\, operations and practice\nHuman capital\, professionalism and people management\nFinance and economics\nPolicy and regulations.\n\nFive topics help steer the focus: \n\nPeople-centred systems\nHealth technology and digital transformation\nWorkforce of the future\nSustainable and resilient health systems\nHealthcare access\, delivery and outcomes\n\nEach year\, EHMA invites the entire health management ecosystem for bringing together health system managers and leaders\, health professionals\, hospital managers\, researchers\, academics and policy makers. Participants reflect the diversity of EHMA’s membership\, bringing rich expertise and a wealth of knowledge to the discussion on key health management issues. Together we strive for excellent health management for a healthy Europe.
