SUMMARY:15th European Public Health Conference “Strengthening health systems: improving population health and being prepared for the unexpected”
DESCRIPTION:The 2022 conference convenes the public health community with a focus on improving population health. JADECARE hosts the workshop: Transfer and adoption of digitally enabled integrated person-centred care good practices in different European contexts: the JADECARE Joint Action\n \nFull Workshop Agenda for: Friday\, 11 November 2022\, 16:40-17:40 – Room:  Beta 3  \nIn the past years\, we have learned from the Covid-19 pandemic that infectious diseases know no boundaries. Although we have seen the successful development of vaccines\, we have also seen with the spread of the Delta and Omicron variants around the globe that these vaccines have not yet been available to everyone. The growing health inequalities around the globe leads to a simple conclusion: Europe must take on a more active role in global health. This includes taking a stand on expansive issues such as planetary health\, climate change\, environmental degradation\, water and food security\, migration\, gender\, and poverty. Europe must use its knowledge and influence to balance out market forces\, expand regulatory oversight and create socially responsible systems for health\, especially when it comes to the distribution of vaccines and essential medicines. \nDigitalization is a key area where recent developments require us to exchange ideas and come up with new approaches. The past decades have seen significant developments in data collection and processing capacity as well as eHealth applications. We need to ensure that the vast amounts of data generated are well protected on the one hand\, but also being available and usable for public health interventions. We want the discussions at the 15th EPH Conference to contribute to resilient health systems\, universal health coverage (UHC)\, a well-trained and highly qualified clinical and public health workforce\, and governance structures that take a stand and shape health systems globally. \n\nJADECARE interactive workshop: Transfer and adoption of digitally enabled integrated person-centred care good practices in different European contexts: the JADECARE Joint Action \n\nWorkshop coordinates: Friday\, 11 November 2022\, 16:40-17:40 – Room:  Beta 3  \nWorkshop host and Chairperson: \nJon Txarramendieta\, Kronikgune Institute for Health services Research\, Basque Country\, Spain.  \nPresentations:\nChallenges in transferring GP to heterogeneous contexts: the JADECARE Joint Action\nJon Txarramendieta \nAbstract: In this first presentation of the workshop\, Jon Txarramendieta\, the Project Manager at the Coordination team of JADECARE will present the Joint Action and the challenges in transferring the GP to the heterogeneous context of the Next Adopters. It will give context to the workshop and introduce good practices that are transferred into action.  \nCore Features (CF) of the GP to be transferred during JADECARE and transfer challenges\nJon Txarramendieta\, Josep Roca\, Manfred Zahorka\, Kuno Strand Kudajewski\nAbstract: The representatives of each of the four JADECARE oGPs\, Jon Txarramendieta (Kronikgune\, Basque Country\, Spain)\, Josep Roca (August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute\, Catalonia\, Spain)\, Manfred Zahorka (Optimedis AG\, Germany) and Kuno Strand Kudajewski (Health Innovation Centre\, Southern Denmark)  will describe the main traits of the CF of their practices and the NAs that will transfer and adapt them highlighting the transfer challenges.  \nDevelopment of Local interventions within JADECARE – Key learnings from two NAs\nRoberta Papa\, Zdislav Dolecek\nAbstract: NA representatives Roberta Papa (Regional Health Agency Marche Region\, Italy) and Zdislav Dolecek (University Hospital Olomouc\, Czech Republic)\, will present the Local interventions and action plans they developed during the pre-implementation phase\, pre-final results of their implementation phase and preliminary lessons learned from the implementation.  \nGroup discussion: Challenges and key elements to be addressed when transferring GP\nAll workshop speakers\, moderated by Jon Txarramendieta\n \nPanellists:  \n\nJon Txarramendieta (Kronikgune Institute for Health Services Research\, Spain) \n\nJosep Roca (August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute\, Spain)\, \n\nManfred Zahorka (Optimedis AG\, Germany)\, \n\nKuno Strand Kudajewski (Health Innovation Centre of Southern Denmark\, Denmark) \n\nRoberta Papa (Regional Health Agency Marche Region\, Italy)\n\nZdislav Dolecek (University Hospital Olomouc\, Czech Republic) \n\nThis workshop explores the key elements and challenges to be addressed when transferring Good Practices (GP) to heterogeneous health systems with different needs\, aims and scopes. It will also highlight the experience of two NAs: Marche region in Italy and Olomouc in Czech Republic\, and promote the discussion among speakers and attendees to highlight the challenges and key elements enabling the transfer of GPs.
