About (Ambition & Objectives)
Health is one major part of EU policies serving the goal of complementing national policy programmes on healthcare. The legislative ground for EU healthcare policies is the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
The health programme of the EU is one instrument to promote health care initiatives and further the development of healthcare in EU countries. It consists of three programmes, of which the most recent one started in 2014 (Third Health Programme 2014-2020). .
JADECARE is part of the third health programme and is also aligned with the Societal challenge 1 of H2020.
